The Beginning of a New Year... and the Beginning of Your Story
It's the End of One Year... and the Beginning of 2019. As you already know The Genesys Project will be going live early this year, and I have a reveal for you......
The beginning of your faction in the 1st Age has always been to create it first, and then play it through the Ages. You get to create your heroes and items through gameplay, just about everything but creating your faction was done through gameplay. That has always left something hanging, and with the release of the game you will be able to play through the creation of your faction!
This will be an option for 1st Age players to create a primitive faction with minimum traits and bonuses to your characteristics. Essentially you will start off with bonus stats and 2-3 Primary or lesser traits and 2-4 characteristic bonuses. Did I mention that you wont have any Unit Classes?
As you play you will only be gaining progression points for secondary objectives and taking secondary or greater traits costs you one characteristic of your choice.
Survival is key. While you will also be gaining mission awards, simply surviving allows your to build a new Unit Class. Your base class can only use primitive weapons and armor, but as you expand into your classes new gear, skills and equipment will help you create your faction as you build your unit classes and even early heroes from gameplay.
Of course this is only an optional way to play and create your faction... but what fun.
There is also one cool little bonus for starting a primitive faction as it allows those extra characteristics become part of your starting characteristics. Of course you must still lose as many as you gained to become a full 1st Age faction, but it allows a little additional customization for those that want to play from the earliest moments of their faction.
