The Problem: Every wonder why you couldn't put a certain cannon or upgrade on a tank while others  get it? Or worse have to pick up a different book or a different studio to get an even more expensive miniature to get the one type you want?

The Answer: In the Genesys Project vehicle design (alongside Mechs, Walkers, Battlesuits, and Powered Armors) are all customizable. You can build your own from a base template, load up weapons (even custom ones), power supplies, heavy armor, side mounts, and you name it.... even selecting Wheels or Treads. Heck you can even start off with a civilian vehicle and then start upgrading.

The Genesys Project starts you off with several ways to make your vehicles that every domain can access in one form or another in both the 2nd Age and 3rd Age of the game.

First off base templates exist for Personal Vehicles (like motorcycles), Standard Vehicles (these are civilian types), Light, Medium and Heavy Vehicles. There are also Mechs with different levels as well similar to the Vehicles with Ultra Light, Light, Medium, and Heavy. In the third age we also go big with super heavies vehicles and mechs.

Think everything from personal Stealth Mechs, Frontline Battletanks, to Titanic Sized Walkers. Right now one of our playtesters is busy creating a Kaiju sized Reptilian faction to battle big titanic walkers just to see what he can make...... Yea, its that fun.

Lets look at some of the beyond cool things I can't get my playtester's minds off of when all they want to do is create tanks and mechs of every conceivable combination.

Humanoids- Humanoids have unique classes set up for the creation of vehicles giving them more Core Systems (the fun things you put on your vehicles) than other Domains. Humanoids can set up many different classes of vehicles for their entire faction to build upon and have some unique options thrown into the mix.

Fey- Fey Constructs are infused with the living essences of their brethren to become part of the construct. With so many Spheres of Influence in the Fey, there are some very interesting options and upgrades for them.

Reptilia- With more limited access going in vehicle arena, they do though have access to some very unique options for them when they do, even some high tech from particular lineages. So when you are not trampling your gargantuan monsters over top of others, you can also jump into creating some fun vehicles.

Biests- Of course they are using Humanoid (style) Vehicles..... just not as refined but with loads of guns. Biests also have vehicle classes, but can also create vehicles specific to classes. Different Kingdoms have different approaches to vehicles. Biests like to take one aspect of a vehicle.... strength, toughness, movement, or size and go all out!

Insekts- Bio-tech vehicles? Yep. Biology and the Machine meet up with the Insekts to create a unique blend of vehicles and monsters.

The short answer is that you can get the weapons of your choice onto your vehicles, even ones you have customized to your hearts content. Just about any vehicle you already own, are 3D printing, or creating from bits can be used in The Genesys Project.

Here are a couple examples in the Pics from the Humanoids
Not that Crew are drivers etc for the vehicle.

  • Open is a targeted model that can be shot at.
  • Protected gets cover but can still be shot at.
  • Enclosed means crew cannot be shot at
  • Armored reduces the strength of hits if the crew compartment is damaged from a critical damage.
Core Systems are upgrades/weapons/passenger compartments and more that can be added to the vehicle. These can be damaged/destroyed when hit by a critical hit. Each type of vehicle has a Maximum number of Core Systems that can be added to a vehicle. Of course traits etc can increase this. The following pics are 2nd Age Humanoid Vehicles.
